Greenpower is a way to buy renewable electricity from your electric utility.  It costs about  $.02 more per kilowatt hour than nonrenewable electricity.  Buying Greenpower will encourage the construction of more renewable electric plants such as wind farms.  The State Line wind farm in southeastern Washington State is the largest wind farm in the U.S.  Both Seattle City Light and Puget Sound Energy have green power programs in which their customers can participate.
